Conures, Conures, Conures... Oh My!

Well, we are handfeeding alot of babies (alot more than just conures!) but it seems that it is that time of year.

Right now we have Blue Crowns and Suns that are weaned and ready to go home now! We have Dusky Conures on eggs and we have Green Cheeks on eggs too! (We only have one pair of green cheeks, and they produce normal and cinnamon babies). We have never had eggs this early! Our Green Cheek Pair (Kiwi and Sage) have been here for 4 years... and they always lay in the End of November! This is a first for September!!! Email to be on the waiting list!!! (Our Suns and Blue Crowns are working boxes too!)

Currently available for deposit we have a Harliquen Macaw, 3 Hahns Macaws, Blue and Pallid Quakers, Double Yellow Head Amazon, Yellow Naped Amazon, and Maximillian Pionus.

Other babies expected this fall are Green and Lutino Indian Ringnecks, Red Bellied Poicephalus, Goffin Cockatoos, Bare Eyed Cockatoos, and African Greys! Stay tuned!

We want to send out a warm thank you to all of our loyal customers who visited us at the Medina Parrot Expo as well as to all of the new customers that we met this past Sunday. The show was a great success thanks to all of you!!! Eleven of our babies found wonderful homes on Sunday!!!

We will be updated photos on our availability page over the next two days, and we have alot of babies to add while we are doing this. Baby Timnehs, more Indian Ringnecks, and more cockatiels are being added. Baby Dusky Conures were pulled for handfeeding this morning and will be added as well!

Spring has sprung... well ALMOST! Our late winter/spring breeding season is under way. We are currently handfeeding Meyer's parrots, Red Bellied Parrots, and several lovebirds that are still available. We have green cheek conures currently that will be ready to start handfeeding this weekend. Dusky Conures, Quakers, and Congos are on eggs!!!

We are expecting our Amazons, Pionus, and Mini Macaws to start laying within the next few months, and many are starting to work their boxes now! Contact us to be added to the waiting list for any of the birds you are intersted in! Our waiting lists hold no obligations. We simply contact the people on the list in the order they are added when we have babies available! If you are interested then at that time you can place a deposit, if not we move on to the next person.

The Medina Expo was alot of fun and we enjoyed seeing everyone there! Thank you to everyone who attended and made the show an outstanding event!!! The next bird fair we will be attending is the Westlake Ohio Bird Fair on April 5 from 10am-4pm. We will be there with our Perches, Toys, Play Gyms etc! We are happy to announce that our Red Bellied Parrots are on FERTILE eggs! These are first time parents, so we are hoping they will do a good job. We have an existing waiting list for these babies, however if you are looking for a beautiful Red Bellied Parrot as a pet we suggest you contact us ASAP to get your name added!!!

Our 2009 breeding season is already under way. The first clutches of green cheek conures are already starting to hatch! We will have a nice variety this year including turquoise mutations! (And yes, we should have more Pineapple Turquoise this year, but make sure to get on the waiting list for one of these rare beauties!) Our Red Bellied Parrots have started laying and we should have several available in the next few months (hopefully from a couple different unrelated pairs!) Quakers are working their boxes as are the Senegals, Timnehs, and Dusky Conures! Stay tuned! The blog is where I will keep everyone updated about upcoming babies, and you will also be able to read stories and view pictures and videos of the babies we are currently raising in our nursery!
